Dynamic Patient Scenarios or DPS

Why are these card sets superior to others?

  1. Disaster victim scenarios are designed by clinicians to mimic the various conditions associated with mass casualty events. The conditions represented by the individual patient scenarios are congruent with the most recent relevant literature.
  2. DPSs are designed to show a change in the patient’s clinical condition as he or she progresses through the triage and disaster response system. Some patients will improve, some will deteriorate, and some will die.
